Evaluates industry data to identify trends that could affect the future of home care and hospice.

Education CommitteeTime commitment: quarterly teleconferences & 1 in-person meeting
|
Advises the Council on program development topics and educational methods. Selects Annual Conference and Exposition meeting speakers; provides input on schedule and exhibits.

Finance Committee*Time commitment: monthly teleconferences
|
Responsible for financial health of the Council including oversight of budget; recommends fiscal policy for consideration by the Board.

Hospice Work GroupTime commitment: monthly teleconferences
|
Provides education to providers across the Hospice care continuum.

Leadership Development/ Awards Committee*Time commitment: meets several times each year
|
Nominates new Board members for consideration by the Board of Directors. Makes recommendations to the Board regarding the Helen Heyrman Award. Develops criteria for awards as directed by the Board.

Legislative Affairs CommitteeTime commitment: monthly teleconferences and Lobby Days
|
Advises the Council on legislative positions, generates member involvement on state and federal legislation. Recommends IHHC's annual legislative priorities and legislator(s) of the year. Assists in planning IHHC's Springfield Lobby Day.

Managed Care Work GroupTime commitment: meets occasionally
|
Identifies issues with the State’s transition to Managed Care; analyzes and generates member involvement and action; shapes education sessions on Managed Care; guides Board and staff in communicating with Managed Care Organizations and the Department of Healthcare and Family Services.

Membership Services Committee Time commitment: monthly teleconferences & occasional in-person meetings
|
Provides input on membership development and retention, potential services that might be offered to Council members, and policies related to membership. Makes recommendations for advancement of the IHHC website.

Private Duty Work GroupTime commitment: monthly teleconferences
|
Provides advice and expertise to the Council regarding services and benefits that can be offered to private duty members.

Regulatory/ Reimbursement CommitteeTime commitment: monthly teleconferences & 1 in-person meetings
|
Responsible for Council regulatory efforts. Provides recommendations and drafts IHHC regulatory position papers, comment letters, and other documents. Identifies and deals with issues relating to reimbursement from all third party payers (Medicare reimbursement, Medicaid, and others). Works with the IDPH Home Health Advisory Committee and the PGBA 16 State Home Health Coalition.

Rehab Work GroupTime commitment: monthly teleconferences
|
Examines challenges facing members in delivering an interdisciplinary care plan. Develops plans to address the identified needs of the member agencies.
