IHHC committees give members a meaningful way to connect with peers, share expertise, and help shape the future of home care and hospice in Illinois. Most groups meet for about one hour each month by conference call or Zoom, with occasional follow-up by email.

Billing Committee
Monthly
Identifies and works through reimbursement challenges related to Medicare, Medicaid, and private plans. Develops best practices and tip sheets for IHHC members.
Best Practices Committee

Focuses on key issues affecting providers and turns ideas into practical resources such as tip sheets, benchmarking tools, and standards for the field.

Advises IHHC on legislative positions, builds member engagement on state and federal issues, recommends annual legislative priorities, and helps plan IHHC’s Lobby Day.

Nurse Delegation Work Group

Explores safe delegation of nursing duties to help address workforce shortages and engages with agencies and stakeholders on rules and protocols.

Provides advice on services and benefits for private duty members, plans a yearly symposium, and supports the interests of agencies with home nursing licensure.
