Emergency Preparedness, Infection Control and COVID-19

Emergency Preparedness, Infection Control and COVID-19
COVID-19 and its impact have served to identify many strengths and weaknesses in the health care system. This three-part series presented by nationally-recognized expert on emergency preparedness in home health and hospice, Barbara Citarella, will discuss the current situation as well as preparing for the real possibility of a second wave, and maybe even a third wave in addition to other large scale events. As waivers are lifted there will a significant “look back” at what agencies did during this pandemic. Agencies will be audited for their infection control policies and practices, OSHA compliance and of course, the disaster preparedness plan. The inter-relatedness of these three variables is undeniable.
