OASIS D1 Training
The revised OASIS data set will take effect on January 1, 2020 and includes updates that will support the Patient-Driven Groupings Model (PDGM). Attend this training to prepare.


Objectives

  • Identify the changes to the OASIS resulting from the Improving Medicare Post-Acute Care Transformation (IMPACT) Act of 2014
  • Describe the major changes in OASIS
  • Understand OASIS M item coding instructions to accurately code
  • Identify available resources for implementing OASIS D1


Faculty

Apryl Swafford, who serves as Clinical Services Director for Home Health Solutions, has more than 20 years of experience in home health. She began her nursing career in 1993 with a BSN from Jacksonville State University in Alabama and has worked in roles as a case manager, clinical manager and leader of a cardiopulmonary specialty program. Apryl is a certified OASIS specialist (COS-C) as well as having coding certifications in both home health and hospice (HCS-D, HCS-H). She oversees clinical aspects for Home Health Solutions, provides on-site training for agencies nationwide and is a popular speaker at industry conferences.
