Location: Audio conference

According to the Wound Care Information Center, approximately five millions Americans suffer from chronic open wounds. This is often due to limited blood flow which can slow the body's own healing process. Treating wounds effectively requires not only appropriate physician ordered wound care by the skilled disciplines, but also making sure the patient is well nourished, supported emotionally and pain controlled. This workshop will provide the aide information on the most common wound care types in home health, nutritional support, special wound prevention products and techniques, patient self-image, pain control needs and signs and symptoms to report to the Registered Nurse.

Details regarding call in information will be emailed to all participants prior to the date of the audio conference.
