Founded in 1960, the Illinois HomeCare Council (IHCC) is the nation's first home care association, and is the voice for home health care in the state of Illinois. IHCC represents home care and hospice agencies that provide care to Illinois residents, companies that serve those agencies, as well as other state and federal associations. IHCC provides a variety of services to its members including educational programs, a bi-weekly newsletter, free region meetings, state and federal advocacy, access to a regulatory consultant and a wide variety of other member benefits. To protect and preserve the basic rights of patients and clients, IHCC developed a code of ethics that member agencies agree to abide by. The IHCC Code of Ethics informs members and the general public of acceptable guidelines for the ethical conduct of home health care providers and their employees and representatives. The document also serves as notice to government officials that the Council expects its members to comply with all applicable laws and regulations. Click here to review the IHCC Code of Ethics. |
